Heather R

A devoted Yogi and 200hr RYT through Rising Lotus, Heather discovered barre through her friend Laura and was certified at Bella Barre in 2015. She had always been curious about barre, since a barre studio neighbored her yoga studio. She noticed the women who came and went always seemed vibrant and confident. Heather took her first barre class weeks before she was due with her second son and fell in love immediately. She knew it was just what she needed, and immersed herself completely weeks after giving birth. Heather describes barre as the yang to her yin, and says her life would be much less energetic without it. She has a deep love for her students, and views the Bella Barre community as empowering, uplifting and magnetic. Her love for her students transpires into her classes, which are emotionally driven and encourage a balance of strength and flexibility, both in body and in mind.When she's not practicing barre or yoga, you can find Heather biking, playing, or just making messes with her boys. Heather believes that life is a practice, and each day brings new opportunity... and when in doubt, coffee, pink lipstick, or a good song can make any day a good day!

Heather R instructs the following:
  • Barre Classic
  • This 60-minute class is a full-body, low-impact workout that functionally combines elements of ballet, Pilates and yoga for overall muscle toning and energizing fitness, thereby creating a dynamic flow that keeps your heart rate elevated while increasing your flexibility. This intense full-body workout utilizes the ballet barre, and is suitable for all skill levels. The overall goal of this class is to facilitate fluidity and neutral spine alignment, and should leave you feeling lengthened.

  • Deep Stretch
  • A class to come unwind, destress, and let your body surrender as you gently melt into each stretch and position.  This class is sure to add zen back into your hectic week as it opens up your hips, and stretches and lengthens your fatigued muscles.

  • Yoga Flow by Bella Barre
  • Use your breath to connect with your movements in this 75 minute class. Strengthen your muscles and find your inner peace. Bring your own mat, or you may use one of the ones provided by Bella Barre

  • Candlelight Flow
  • Soulful flow set to relaxing candlelights. This is the perfect mid-week boast! Level 2/3 but can be modified for those newer to yoga. Bring you own mat, or use one of ours
