What to Expect for your Sweat Session
Plan to arrive a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete registration and begin to relax before your session begins.
Stay Hydrated! A good rule of thumb is to divide your body weight by two and drink a minimum of that many ounces of water on a daily basis, (160 lbs. divided by 2 = 80 ounces of water or eight 10-ounce glasses of water, daily). Drink plenty of water, coconut water, iced tea, green tea before, during and after your sauna session.
Remember, you may not sweat a lot during your first 2-3 sauna sessions. This is normal for many people, as they haven’t had a recent history of sweating.
If sauna cabin temperature becomes too hot for your comfort, or the cabin becomes “stuffy”, you may slide open the ceiling vent, or just open the door for a minute or so to let some fresh air inside. If you ever begin to feel "off", ending the session early is recommended. Be sure to take your time standing up and stepping out of the sauna.
Sauna Apparel: Lightweight shorts and t-shirt can work. Swim suits are fine! “Birthday Suit” is even better. Whichever option allows you to feel most comfortable!
Bella Barre staff will place towels on the bench seat to absorb perspiration during your session for your convenience. However, you may certainly bring your own towels to use during/after your session.
When you finish your sweat session, it is important to relax and cool down while your body continues to perspire.
If you need to cancel your session, please do so at least 12 hours before your appointment.
